Is there some specific keys in the registry I should be looking for without the word Norton or Symantec written in it and where something might remain? replied7 years ago. Worth the try to re-install and restore again, and then have the floppy ready if it asks for it again? then re-install windows and see what comes out. Mouse moving and opening files out... Can you help me save my files?
My suggestions will be that try to restart the computer to safe mode and try to install Norton. I have tried to restore a Compaq Presario 6016 to it's original state, which I have done before with no problems.
