I haven't tried using a different make of media as yet because these discs (Maxell) have always been fine up until I updated to 'Tiger' and they are still burning fine I don't seem to get through this Issue. I was told to buy an external DVD working on the USB and I could write much faster and reliably. Any solutions?

The weird thing is have no problems using the same media (Maxell) when burning through iTunes at all. Just a little more info from Apple Discussions.
